Welcome note from the Chief Executive Officer.

Welcome to the Autumn 2009/Spring 2010 training programme schedule for Leitrim County Enterprise Board.

We endeavour at all times to deliver a suite of topical, relevant business development training programmes. These programmes are brought to you by a panel of expert trainers to meet client needs and to assist them in the day to day operation of their business.
Courses can be delivered on a multi location basis dependent on demand and will continue to be heavily subsidised by Leitrim County Enterprise Board.
The Board are always open to new suggestions for future courses, if you have any suggestions please do not hesitate to contact us.

The Board are delighted to report that the Leitrim Business Network has been growing from strength to strength and we would encourage anyone operating a business in Leitrim to join. The network gives businesses the opportunity to discuss experiences, challenges, look at opportunities to work together and it acts as an outlet to meet with your business peers.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank our Business Advisor, Nicola Mc Manus for putting this schedule together and co-ordinating the training for Leitrim County Enterprise Board.

If you require any details on any of the information contained in this booklet, contact us on 071 9620450.

The Leitrim Business Network

16 people attended our May Network Meeting.

Johnny Beirne gave a presentation on “How to write an elevator pitch”.

A good elevator pitch is Short, Simple, Memorable covering the What, How, and Why.

We then held a ‘speed networking’ workshop where each attendee had 1 minute to present their pitch direct to 8 attendees.

There was some positive feedback regarding the importance of having a clear and concise description of your business.
