Out of necessity I was forced to use one of the new Mobile Broadband solutions (O2) and I’m getting a reliable enough 2Meg down and 300kb up between Drumsna and Effrinagh (middle of nowhere basically!)
It beats havin to wait on an Eircom upgrade or for a wireless company to come out and you dont have to have holes drilled or cables run either.
Might be the future of broadband.

re: broadband costs
Does any one have a compiled list of broadband suppliers’ costs?
We use perlico at the moment, and while it runs fine we are noticing that there ‘appear’ to be fantastic offers on the market at the moment.
Wouldnt a spreadsheet of suppliers details and costs would be great?

any one know who does broadband in ballinaglera leitrim near dowra and out side drumshanbo!! i have vodafone but it is slower than dial up

Shambolic, no broadband in Leitrim Village at this stage, groupnet is not broadband 256kb download is nothing more than an insult to anyone who actually has any kind of knowledge of what broadband is.
Eircom are really dragging this out, 3 years and counting and no sign of any movement, all fibre optics are down exhchange has had all upgrades but engineers are not being sent out to complete final phase of upgrade.
Disgraceful what has gone on here over the last number of years, how could anyone have any faith in Eircom after the way they have run the business into the ground over the last few years.
